Walter Gropius, born in 1883, is one of the most important Bauhaus designers of all. Gropius studied architecture at the beginning of the 20th century and then joined Peter Behrens' design office, as did Mies van der Rohe and Corbusier.


As a freelance architect and industrial designer, Walter Gropius later designed the Gropius handle that is so well known today, which was first used by S.A. in 1923 Loevy went into production. TECNOLUMEN has been producing the various Gropius models since 1983.

Walter Gropius

1883 – 1969

Walter Gropius, born in 1883, is one of the oldest and most famous Bauhaus designers. Gropius possibly early 20th century architecture and joined Peter Behrens' design office in 1907, as did Mies van der Rohe and Corbusier.

As a freelance architect and industrial designer, Walter Gropius later designed the Gropius handle that is so well known today, which was first used by S.A. in 1923. Loevy went into production.
